Who We Are

Supporting artists through

Exhibition.

Artlink has 10 exhibition slots annually in which we host about 16 different exhibitions, including juried and non-juried group exhibitions, as well as solo exhibitions. Last year alone, 350 different artists exhibited with Artlink, through a combination of our exhibitions and Artlink Markets.

Education.

Artlink offers a variety of artist-led workshops throughout the year, along with clubs like Figure Drawing, Peer-to-Peer Critique and Mindful Mending. We also have a photography studio that will soon be open for artist use along with workshops on how to professionally document artwork and put together a digital portfolio.

Engagement.

Our Values

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Our Story

From Living Room to Local Legend

Artlink Contemporary Gallery maintains a vibrant presence in the Fort Wayne arts scene, and it all began in one art lover's living room, back in the 1970's.

1976 Bruce Linker founded Linker's Gallery in his apartment to showcase emerging artists' work at 1117 1⁄2 Broadway Street.

1978 Artlink opened in the summer of 1978 by a group of young artists to promote awareness of emerging artists and art forms at 1126 Broadway Street. This space housed gallery and performance rooms, a studio for artists, and a library.

1988 Artlink moved to 1030 Broadway Street.

1991 Artlink became a funded partner of Arts United and moved to the Hall Community Arts Center at 437 E. Berry Street.

2011 Artlink moved to its current location in the Auer Center for Arts & Culture at 300 East Main Street. This move doubled the size of our gallery space and provided workrooms, office spaces, and two classrooms that house our Open Arts programs.

2018 Artlink celebrated forty years of commitment to emerging artists and art forms around the region.
