Figure Drawing
Established in 1996, Artlink’s Figure Drawing program continues to offer artists of all skill levels multiple life drawing sessions each week. Artists are welcome to join any open session to draw from professional nude models in a comfortable atmosphere.
Session Times
Hosted bi-weekly on Monday and Tuesday evenings from 5:45 pm to 8:45 pm. Monday sessions offer a variety of poses held from 30 seconds to 25 minutes, while Tuesday sessions offer a single long pose. Attending artists enjoy a 10-minute midpoint break and are invited to share ideas, techniques, and drawings during the last 15 minutes of each session. It is also helpful when attending artists help clean up the room and move easels and chairs at the end of the session.

Draw or Be Drawn!
A group of artists who regularly attend Artlink biweekly Figure Drawing sessions gather to draw anyone who would like to sit for a 15-minute portrait. The group can often be found on Friday summer nights (weather permitting) on the Landing or at large downtown events like BuskerFest and Taste of the Arts! The activity is free to participate in by either drawing with the group or as a model. If you choose to model, you get to keep all the portraits of you at the end of the 15 minutes.
If you want to participate as an outreach portrait artist during Draw or Be Drawn! special events, please use the “Learn More” button for more information on upcoming event dates and times!
