Watercolor: The Layering Method
Watercolor is known to be a complicated medium to master. In this class it is broken down into basic steps consisting of layers of value and color to engineer a painting. With a concentration on basics while exploring composition, subject matter and mood and dramatic affect you will learn the joy of the medium while learning to manipulate it. Beginning with everyone’s favorite – the landscape - the class will explore the spirit and essence of the subject matter while really breaking it down to the bare bones of the painting. In the latter part of the course you will try different subject matter with the same process of layering so as to improve your painting skills and have fun while you are doing it.
